Composite Query

If you cannot decide which query method you should use or if there will be too many glyphs to choose from with single condition query, this is the recommended one. You might enter whatever partial condition you know to query for.
(1)	For example, suppose you are looking for glyph"匣". Select "Composite Query" in the main menu of Query Methods.
(2)	The screen will show seven types of query. Suppose you know the total stroke count of "" is 7, you may enter "7" in Total Stroke Count Query or "5" in Stroke Count of Phonetic Query.
(3)	If you know the KX_Radical of "匣" isㄈ , you may enter KX_Radical code 22 to search. If you are not sure about code of a particular KX_Radical, you may search for the correct code first.
(4)	If you know the Pin-Yin of "匣", you may use the little keyboard on screen to enter "ㄒㄧㄚˊ" in the column of field 3. You can skip the selection if you don't know the phonetic alphabets and directly press the "Start to search" button
(5)	Select glyph "匣", if you find it. The system will show explanation of related attributes of this glyph.

Query by KX_Radical

If you know the KX_Radical of the glyph that you are queried, you may select " KX_Radical Query" in the main menu of Query Methods.
(1)	For example, suppose you are looking for glyph"璽". The KX_Radical of this glyph is "玉". Select "玉"from the section of Stroke Count 5. Then press "Start to search" button.
(2)	Select glyph "璽", if you find it. The system will show explanation of related attributes of this glyph

Query by Stroke Count

If you know the stroke count of the glyph, you may select "Query by Total Stroke Count" or "Query by Stroke Count of Phonetic" in the main menu of Query Methods.
(1)	For example, suppose you are looking for glyph "吳". Its total stroke count is 7. Select "Query by Total Stroke Count" in the main menu of Query Methods.
(2)	Select "7". Then press "Start to search" button.
(3)	The results will be presented as pages. If you cannot find the target glyph in appear in the first page, press "continue".
(4)	Select glyph "吳", if you find it. The system will show explanation of related attributes of this glyph.

Query by ㄅㄆㄇ

If you know the phonetic alphabet of the character, you may select "Query by ㄅㄆㄇ" from the main page.
(1)	Please select the phonetic alphabets of the glyph by pressing the keyboard on the screen, eg. For glyph "銘", select "ㄇ" "ㄧ" "ㄥ" "ˊ"on the keyboard and press the "Start to search" button. If the glyph has first pitch, then it is not necessary to make a selection.
(2)	Select glyph "銘" in blue, description of the glyph's attributes and the link " "send 40x40 script, phonetic, and Tsang-Chi Input Method" will appear

Query by Changjei Input Method

If you know Changjei Input code of the glyph, you may select " Query by Changjei Input Code" in the main menu of Query Methods.
(1)	Switch keyboard input mode to English
(2)	For example, if you want to search for glyph "好", the Tsang-Chi code is " "女弓木" , enter "VND" then select the "Start to search" button. The glyph "好" will appear.
(3)	If you only know that one of the Tsang-Chi codes is "女", you can enter "V*", then select the "Start to search" button. The related glyph "好" will appear on page one. (" * " means replacing multiple codes)
(4)	Select glyph "好" in blue, description of the glyph's attributes and the link "send 40x40 glyph, phonetic, and Tsang-Chi Input Method" will appear

Query by CNS Code

If you know the plane and CNS code of the glyph, this will be a convenient way to query.
(1)	Select Query by CNS Code
(2)	Enter character plane number in the field "select character plane". If you have selected "1", it refers to character plane 1 VND
(3)	Key in CNS code in the field "enter character code". eg. "4421"
(4)	After pressing the "Start to search" button, the glyph found will appear,such as "一"
(5)	After selecting glyph "一" in blue, description of the glyph's attributeswill appear
(6)	If you press the link "send 40x40 glyph, phonetic and Tsang-Chi Input Method", the glyph can be downloaded for application under the Phonetic and Tsnag-Chi Input Methods

Query by Pin-Yin

If you already know the Pin-Yin of the glyph, then "Query by Pin-Yin" is the most convenient query method. We have provided four query methods namely, Chinese, the 2 types of Phonetic method, Yale and Webster.
(1)	Select "Query by Pin-Yin"
(2)	After you pressed the "Start to search" button, the glyph found such as "一" will appear.
(3)	After selecting glyph "一" in blue, description on the glyph's nature attributes will appear.
(4)	If you select the link "send 40x40 glyph, phonetic and Tsang-Chi Input Method", the glyph can be downloaded for application under thePhonetic and Tsanag-Chi Input Methods.

Query by Symbol

At the this moment, the symbols we have provided only include the CNS 11643 national standard symbols

After obtaining the glyph you require, please press the link "send 40x40 glyph, phonetic and Tsang-Chi Input Methods" and the glyph and the input method can be downloaded to your computer. At the time of downloading, you must save the attributes of the glyph in the subfolder of C:\CMEX。

After downloading the glyphs, please start the "Glyph Transfer Tool"of "Master Ideographs Seeker Application Tools 4.0". The program will send glyphs you download previously into the user-defined areas of your computer. In future, you can use Phonetics and Tsang-Chi Input methods to input that glyph

"Master Ideographs Seeker Application Tools 4.0" can be downloaded from "Tools Downloads". It can be installed after being downloaded based on instructions of the installation program.
